What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform senior-level professional technical services in GIS data construction, programming, and project management
- Conduct needs assessments and develop documentation for GIS projects
- Program, maintain, and enhance GIS business systems and applications
- Execute advanced spatial and geo-statistical analysis to derive insights from data
- Support critical GIS systems during emergencies and activations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Geography, or a related field
- Four or more years of information technology/GIS experience
- A resume and cover letter are required for application
- Knowledge of spatial data systems and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of varying GIS skill levels
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience coordinating and delivering GIS projects in local government domains
- Proficiency as a drone pilot with FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification
- Familiarity with GIS Python programming and ESRI APIs
- Experience with high accuracy GPS data collection
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git
