JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Administrative Services, this position is responsible for City-wide utilization of GIS related hardware, software, and databases. To ensure effective, efficient use of GIS programs and applications by city-wide staff, the incumbent instructs, trains, and supports end users in all GIS applications, including ERSI ArcMap and ArcView; and in starting new data collection projects and GIS initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining and expanding the City’s GIS databases. This is a full-time Unaffiliated position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and provides an excellent work life balance. The salary is a Grade 15, dependent upon experience.
