The role will be based at EssilorLuxottica office in Charenton-Le-Pont within the Global Marketing Department, reporting to the Global Marketing Director, Complete pairs and Sun Rx.
Position purpose / Objectives of the role
The SunRx Global Brand Manager, Sun Rx (=Sun prescription), will work hand in hand together with the Global Marketing Director, Complete pairs and Sun Rx, contributing to the definition and execution of the Marketing and business growth strategy for the Sun prescription lenses across the EssilorLuxottica group.
One of the key mission of the job will also be to raise internally the visibility and the prioritization of the category in the regional and country plans.
Its main measures of success will be the category growth acceleration in volume and value penetration across all market segments, channels & geographies.
Responsibilities will include, without being limited to, the following:
Marketing Strategy
- Develop strategy, positioning, messaging and go-to-market plan together with the Global Marketing Director
- Drive regional focus (ECP partners & retailers) and prioritization of the Sun Rx categories: coordination of best practices across regions regarding consumers, promotion, ECP training, store activation, etc.
- Interface with the marketing and commercial teams, R&D/GE team, and finance to develop comprehensive, successful go-to-market strategies.
Brand
- Establish clear positioning of the blockbuster brands and products within the Sun Rx offers, together with the other global brands teams (Essilor and Luxottica), and help defining points of differentiation and our promise to customers
Communication & Category education
- Manage the design, delivery, and support of Global marketing/communication campaigns with vendors/agencies and EssilorLuxottica internal/external partners
- Develop and rollout Training Materials to the Sun prescription growth
- Manage assets and collateral including: brand books, B2B and B2B2C communication assets, selling speeches, FAQs, in-store communications and POS/merchandising, digital and website content
Innovation
- Partner with R&D/GE and CMI on product roadmap, portfolio evolution
- Drive consumer-driven product innovation planning, aligning to consumer segments and brands/products
Business Intelligence & Planning
- Gather customer, competitor, and market intelligence to support annual strategy and support the Global Marketing Director in the creation and execution of the corresponding marketing plans
- Provide support in key management presentations
- Manage brand-related marketing budget
- Analyze monthly sales of the category to identify growth opportunities and performance risks
Required skills and experience
- Master's degree in a business-related and/or Marketing field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing brands and/or products, preferably in the optical industry (lens or frame) or in the fashion industry
- Strong project management skills, with cross-functional experience collaborating on complex projects
- Creativity and strategic thinking
- At ease with managing budgets and analytic
- Experience working in a technical environment
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English, French is strongly preferred and another language is a plus
- Results driven and strong capacity to deliver objectives in entire autonomy
- Must be comfortable evolving in a fast paced environment
