- Content Strategy: Ensure seamless, on-brand communications in alignment with business priorities and content best practices. Develop and manage annual editorial calendar in alignment with business team’s annual Execute To Win and customer marketing plans.
- Campaign Planning: support with annual campaign planning process and day-to-day management of creative delivery in conjunction with content specialist, internal content studio, and external agency. Includes owning creative direction, managing creative development, delivery of paid media creative for extension campaigns.
- Driving Collaboration: Cross pollinate with team members across disciplines, business units (Consumer, FAFH, Custom Flavor), and global regions (NA, EMEA, LATAM) to identify opportunities to scale creative and deliver the right creative in the right place – inclusive of paid, owned and earned channels.
- Co-Branded Activations: help drive transformational brand activations from inception to execution with internal and external partners to pitch culturally relevant concepts and ideas for critical customers, such as TGI Fridays and Qdoba.
- Social Strategies: develop and execute social media strategies with support of communications specialist, copywriters, chefs, photographers, and designers; stay on top of best practices; manage chef influencer partnerships.
- Public Relations: with support from supervisor, write releases independently or with copywriter, send releases, pitch against editorial calendars, maintain media lists, and track placements; serve as active member of IFEC (International Foodservice Editorial Council) to nurture press relationships and drive industry leadership for McCormick.
- Surprise and Delights: create/manage program with free product and swag to turn customers/social community members into loyalists.
- Reporting: lead integrated performance reporting; report quarterly to stakeholders.
- Agency Management: Support with scoping/managing budgets with external agencies. Provide concise briefings and appropriate creative feedback.
- Team Leadership: Coach and unlock growth opportunities for team of 2 specialists. Provide clear goals that ladder up to team goals.
- 4-6 years related professional experience in marketing, agency experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design or equivalent
- 3+ years experience running integrated marketing campaigns for large consumer brands
- Experience indirectly or directly managing others
- Comfortable with data analysis and reporting
- Experience briefing and managing creative agencies and internal studios
- Experience managing budgets with external vendors
- Experience delivering creative assets to media agencies

Position Overview
Working on the North American Food Away From Home business, the Content & Communications Manager will work to d eliver best-in-class communications and digital transformation For McCormick For Chefs (U.S.) and Club House For Chefs (Canada). In addition to owning content strategy and driving integrated communications across channels, this role will lead paid media creative development, as well as social and PR strategies – working to identify opportunities to collaborate with our cross-functional teams and drive a seamless experience for both foodservice operators and consumers. They will manage two direct reports.
