- Assist Senior Distressed Salespeople with complementary coverage for key desk relationships for all aspects of the distribution model
- Assume primary coverage for select distressed desk counterparties for all aspects of the sales process
- Assist Senior Par Salespeople with complementary coverage for key desk relationships for all aspects of the distribution model
- Trading desk experience
- Series 7 & 63
- Fundamental product knowledge of the bond product (experience with the par loan product a plus as well)
- Critical thinker and driver of trade concepts and themes for clients
- Clear, logical thinker with strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation
- Strong team player that partners well with principals of the platform including Research and Trading
The Distressed Desk Sales team covers a broad array of institutional clients to provide liquidity in the secondary loan and bond market. The Team also interacts with our DCM partners to raise capital for corporations in the primary market; assisting in building, pricing and allocating new deals.
Job Summary:
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing investor client relationships, including day-to-day execution of all products we are responsible for distribution. Principally, you will focus on the distressed debt product and will need to have a working knowledge of both loan and bond trading protocols. Additionally, the professional must have experience with the par loan, high yield and investment grade bond product as you will be asked to work across product desks. As the analyst gains familiarity with all the nuances of our asset class along with our differing client base and their strategies, he/she will be expected to generate trade ideas in order to help clients and traders with their investment/risk objectives. Moreover, you will bring a collaborative approach working with our business partners in trading, research and cap markets/syndicate to provide comprehensive client coverage across the platform.
