      This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent provides subject matter expertise of planning, deployment, movement, execution, and re-deployment processes and applies Joint Operation Planning and Execution System/Joint Planning and Execution System policies, processes and procedures for Global Force Management practitioners and decision makers.

      Qualifications


      You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

      One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
      • Performing military operational planning, execution and force deployment operations processes for force deployment execution.
      • Managing, analyzing and providing recommendation on force management requirements, status and courses of action to plan, organize and oversee study/projects and objectives, sequence and timing of key events and methods of evaluation.
      • Providing visibility of forces in various stages of readiness while interacting with other senior level military offices/counterparts.
      • Utilizing a wide range of program management policies, guidelines, and concepts to develop policy guidance use of joint forces.
      Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
