      About the role:

      The Head of Global Facility Operations, will be responsible for the leadership, oversight, and execution of the NXP facility operations strategy and programs within the manufacturing environment and includes sustainability and business continuity. This position will provide leadership, support and technical guidance to Operations and Facility Leaders, ensure effective development and implementation of facility and maintenance programs and initiatives, and coach and inspire GSS talent to ensure safe and responsible operations within NXP and at each site globally. The Head of Global Facility Operations will report directly to the Global Site Services organization leader.


      Essential Responsibilities

      • Provide leadership, direction and oversight for facility operations across NXP manufacturing sites.
      • Drive and lead organizational change management.
      • Lead and ensure continuity of the global manufacturing operations.
      • Support real estate and facilities initiatives within the factory environment, including lease administration, office space utilization and efficiency, potential expansion or reduction, construction and reconfiguration, and administration of facilities related services and vendor relationships.
      • Assume fiscal management responsibility, including developing financial plans and operating budgets for facilities and employee services spending within factory operations, and provide regular and timely reporting to company leadership, accounting and financial planning analysis teams.
      • Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
      • Oversee the performance of team members, provide guidance and define career development opportunities.
      • Management and coordination of building and manufacturing maintenance and repair programs.
      • Assess and evolve our global facility management service levels and support models to preserve capital investments and maintain an appropriate workplace environment.
      • Lead the assessment, development and implementation of facility management technology and automated solutions for the manufacturing environment and other projects.
      • Develop dashboard reporting capability for key facility and manufacturing metrics; create executive presentations and analyze in support of key corporate initiatives.
      • Drive environmental and sustainability optimization in relation to the company's operation of physical office and manufacturing facilities.
      • Plan and implement procedures related to Business Continuity within the scope of facilities and manufacturing operations.
      • Ensure implementation of all laws, regulations, and policies as they pertain to work place safety as well as all other company policies and procedures at each site.

      Requirements:

      • 12+ years of progressive, global management and leadership experience in the areas of manufacturing and facility operations preferred (4-year degree required).
      • Demonstrated ability in managing tactical execution while maintaining a strategic focus.
      • Proficiency developing and managing facility and manufacturing support programs.
      • Ability to work effectively in a service-oriented environment, subject to frequently changing priorities, utilizing problem solving skills and sound judgement.
      • Passionate about quality of service and creating world-class facility management programs.
      • Expertise in facilities planning and construction management processes and procedures.
      • Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.
      • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
      • Ability to achieve desirable outcomes while remaining fiscally responsible.
      • Ability to collaborate across business units and other corporate functions to find the most effective and efficient solution.
      • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
      • Ability to work autonomously and with little guidance or direction – self-starter is a must for this role.
      • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
      • Must be proficient in the use of MS Projects, AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
      • Ability to be on-call 24/7 and flexibility to support a dynamic, multi-cultural, global organization.
      • Ability to travel (including internationally) up to 30%, with little notice to accomplish assignment responsibilities and lead key initiatives.
