Accelerate people effectiveness and performance to deliver our strategy so that we achieve our purpose to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. This role will provide the right design, delivery and evaluation of solutions and initiatives to build the capabilities and learning culture that we need for now and into the future.
Owner of the enterprise learning approach, considering the diverse key personas and make up of GSK across Research & Development, Commercial and Supply including our Global Functions.
Owner of how we build our leadership capabilities through flagship programmes, learning journeys and career development to support GSK’s talent management and succession planning efforts.
Owner of how we measure success across our learning solutions.
Create a learning culture and agenda across the enterprise as a retention and attraction mechanism as a way to build capabilities in our people staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in applying that knowledge to enhance our programs and initiatives
Take ownership of our Keep Growing Campus (Business and
Leadership skills) which encompasses business and leadership skills, as a key driver of employee engagement and continuous learning.Manage external relationships with our partners for example our global coaching providers and other partners such as LinkedIn and Harvard. to leverage their expertise and resources for leadership development and learning initiatives.
Diagnose, design, and continuously update the leadership development curriculum, aligning it with GSK culture and business performance objectives.
Integrate policies and standards into development programmes to reinforce enterprise expectations and future leadership needs.
Support in-business execution teams in the utilisation, communication and deployment of enterprise solutions, ensuring alignment and effective implementation.
A Masters degree or extensive up to date experience in the learning and development space
Significant experience as an SME/Practitioner in similar role eg Chief Learning Officer
Academic experience in leadership development is essential
Well-connected/networked with external experts in Learning and development, possibly due to previous consulting experience
Experience working in a highly complex organisation within a matrixed structure, leveraging influence within a complex network of stakeholders
Experience in leading OD/change pro-grammes that enhance organisational capability, culture and performance
Strong understanding of the technology, digital advancements, and data landscapes, particularly in relation to the impact of GenAI on the learning domain.

Role Summary:
As the Global Head of Leadership & Learning, you will be responsible for driving thought leadership and enterprise solutions for GSK’s people capability & development agenda (Including a specific focus on Leadership). You will play a crucial role in enhancing business performance through the design, delivery and evaluation of relevant interventions, programmes experience and tools that build the necessary capabilities for success. This role will shape and lead the enterprise learning approach and be accountable for the measurement of success across learning solutions covering leadership, business skills, culture activation, and people performance.

You will be part of the People & Organisational Effectiveness Leadership team (Head of Talent & DEI, Head of Leadership & Learning, Head of OE/Culture) managing a small team of SMEs and being a senior contributor to the People & Organisational Effectiveness (POE) Centre of Excellence organisation your ability to lead change and culture projects, build strategic capabilities and enhance leadership development are pivotal to the success of any project.

Hybrid working applies to this role, with GSKs UK expectation of minimum 2-3 days per week being office based.
