      Develop and execute the trade marketing strategy for our omni wholesale channels


      THE ROLE

      As ‘Global Head of Trade Marketing’, you are responsible for developing and executing the trade marketing strategy for the wholesale channel. The wholesale is the terminology we use for the premium perfumery-, department store, and pure player channel.

      Reporting directly into the Marketing Director/CMO and with a dotted line towards the Wholesale Director, you directly manage a team of 10 Trade Marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. You’re part of the Marketing management team as well as the Wholesale management team.

      The role has a global scope, offline and offline, with Europe being the number 1 priority to accelerate. Top wholesale partners include Douglas, Sephora, Zalando and the local premium department store chains.


      YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

      Overall, your role is to help develop the home, body & gifting categories with our key wholesale partners, while generating awareness and trial for the Rituals brand amongst male en female shoppers. Since we have our own retail stores and .com, it is important to create synergies between our own channels and the wholesale channel.

      Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

      • Set the Trade Marketing strategy, developing the Home, Body and Gifting categories with our key wholesale partners
      • Plan marketing campaigns and activations in order to generate awareness and trial for the Rituals brand You do this together with the multifunctional global teams as well as the local market teams
      • Oversee the development of marketing materials for all the markets
      • Lead the implementation in line with brand guidance. You also analyse the performance and effectiveness of your trade marketing activities and campaigns and optimize for the future
      • Ensure and create synergy between Rituals’ own on- and offline channels and the wholesale channels
      • Manage a team of 8 trade marketing professionals

      THIS IS YOU

      High on energy, low on ego and with a little bit of humour. In addition, you have:

      • 12 or more years of experience in high-performing marketing/sales roles (preferably FMCG), including significant Trade Marketing experience
      • Strong commercial background, with experience in sales or account management is a plus
      • Digital marketing and .com sales/trade marketing experience
      • Excellent English communication, presentation and negotiation skills, knowledge of Dutch is a strong preference.Experience leading (trade) marketing professionals

      Please note that this position is based in Amsterdam, and travel (approximately 4 days per month) will be part of the job.
