Partners with the Functional Lead to provide leadership in digital project ideation to implement overarching asset strategies and optimize global-to-local interfaces for delivery.
Manage stakeholders across ongoing initiatives and identify risks, recommend mitigations, and resolve issues to meet timelines.
Leads effective planning management for a Function (eg: Global Med. Info & Comms) on team meetings with clear agendas, concrete action items and tracking of deliverables for on-target submission.
Facilitates budget planning for projects, including forecasting, phasing, and prioritization across the business planning cycle.
Ensure Medical Information Solution is integrated into overall technology workstream timelines/deliverables.
Responsible for strategic planning and prioritization of functional team deliverables and high-impact projects contributing to the evolution of AZ Medical Information (eg: Docuvera, AIMI, Content Strategy, AI initiatives).
Partner with Head of MI and MI Leadership Team to drive and facilitate organizational effectiveness through a large team.
Co-ordinates across functions & business units to drive MI reporting metrics, analytics, and communications.
Continuously strives for improvement on ways of working to share best practices to streamline and simplify the business processes.
Accountable for implementation of medical standards to ensure compliant functioning of the organization.
Encourage a vibrant, entrepreneurial, and externally facing team focused on the delivery of successful projects and programs that support courageous leadership, innovation, and collaboration.
Collaborate strongly with other Project Leaders to embed best practice.
Flexible mindset and dedication to efficient productivity.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry or related health industry.
Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs, Commercial, and R&D (Global, regional, or local).
Understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products.
Experience in planning and leading complex strategic digital initiatives.
Experience of successfully influencing cross-functionally, cross-culturally, and cross-brands.
Experience with agile ways of working and agile project management.
Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment.
Experience working in a global setting, managing stakeholders within different time zones.
Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership.
Graduate-level degree in sciences or business degree.
Six Sigma Medical/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification is a plus but not required.
Proficient understanding of medical, scientific, and/or commercial pharmaceutical marketplace of Oncology.

We are currently searching for a candidate who can drive strategic planning and execution of the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) projects and accountabilities for the OBU Medical organization with a hyper-focus on promoting a Medical Center of Excellence and interfacing with broader cross-functional teams across OBU. The role will include strategic project oversight, vendor/budget management, medical/functional planning, cross-functional partnership, and operational support to the Global Medical Team.
Successful individuals will work on multiple strategic initiatives with a strong team of cross-functional individuals including Medical Information Subject matter experts, IT and digital experts from both internal and external teams to help build a dynamic conversational chatbot for Medical Information that will be leveraged globally. As well as build and scale, customer-focused, future-fit, self-service digital platforms to be used in key OBU markets.
This role will report directly to the Director of Medical Excellence Portfolio within the Strategy, Operations & Innovation Team in OBU Medical; and will work closely with the Head of Global Medical Information and their respective team.
