Job Description & Summary

A career in Office of General Counsel, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of the Firm’s legal department by providing dedicated legal support in the areas of litigation, counselling, and corporate, commercial, and employment law. You’ll play an important part in all aspects of regulatory proceedings involving the Firm and its personnel by supporting on regulatory issues, advising the Firm on matters relating to its operations, supporting the Firm’s client contracting function, and advising on matters related to employees.

As part of our team, you’ll help with researching background information related to legal issues and prepare legal documents. You’ll focus on drafting contracts or legal agreements, retaining files of prepared legal documents, and coordinating requests between internal and external counsel.

An experienced investigations attorney who will conduct and support internal investigations. This attorney will also work with the team to train and advise investigators in PwC member firms, strengthening a community of investigators around the network.

Minimum Degree Required :
Juris Doctorate

Minimum Years of Experience :
8 year(s) with internal investigations, practicing litigation in a law firm or corporate or government environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thought leader-level abilities as a team leader, emphasizing the following areas:

• Leading or advising on a variety of internal investigations of matters involving alleged violations of ethics code of conduct and/or employee misconduct, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, conflict of interest, and other violations of law or policy;
• Overseeing outside legal counsel in complex investigations;
• Helping less experienced lawyers/investigators with a variety of investigative tasks;
• Assisting territories and advising on aspects of territory-led investigations;
• Developing policy, guidance, and training around investigative processes and issues;
• Demonstrating proven interpersonal and collaboration skills;
• Reaching conclusions in a fair-minded and balanced manner;
• Managing stress and meeting scheduled deadlines;
• Utilizing a variety of communication mediums including written detailed reports and summaries, oral presentations, and managing question/answer sessions;
• Working cross-border and in multicultural settings; and
• Fostering a diverse and inclusive team and environment.
