      What you’ll do

      As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing global category strategies that drive value across Vodafone’s markets. You’ll be responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives, managing high-impact projects, and negotiating major contracts that align with our business goals. Acting as a trusted expert in your domain, you’ll collaborate with local and partner markets to ensure seamless delivery and stakeholder engagement. Your focus will be on optimizing total cost of ownership, achieving savings targets, and introducing innovative commercial models that support long-term sourcing decisions. You’ll work closely with Legal, Operations, and Enablement teams to ensure contracts meet business needs and supplier performance is effectively managed. In this role, you’ll also contribute to best practice development, support cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement through supplier innovation. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, as you’ll engage stakeholders, define project roles, and ensure clarity and alignment throughout the procurement process.

      Who you are

      Procurement & Commercial Expertise

      • You bring experience in procurement at either a global or local level, with the technical insight to drive category transformation.
      • You have strong commercial instincts and excel at negotiating complex, multi-year agreements.
      • You’re confident in drafting and managing contracts from initial agreement through to execution.
      • You’ve built your career in the telecoms industry and understand the nuances of procurement in this space.
      • You consistently deliver against ambitious targets and know how to turn strategy into results.

      Technical & Domain Knowledge

      • You’re familiar with private and public cloud platforms, virtualization, containerization, and automation technologies.
      • You understand strategic software platforms in IT and/or Network domains, and have a working knowledge of cloud-native functions and orchestration technologies.

      Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

      • You know how to engage key stakeholders effectively and can confidently present at senior management level.
      • You communicate clearly and persuasively, with strong written and verbal skills that shine in executive presentations.

      • You hold a university degree, ideally with a technical background that supports your commercial and strategic thinking.
