Job Description

- Prepare strategies for global registrations in line with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with UK-REACH including, but not limited to (pre)-registrations, raw material compliance for Wrexham plant, ensure compliance of imported products by UK customers, etc.
- Responsible for compliance with other newly formed REACH like regulations Turkey, Korea and Eurasia.
- Engage with the R&D teams on new R&D product developments with special attention on substances of high concern.
- Participate in consortia’s for both EU and UK REACH i.e. Bisphenol S, Strontium Chromate, and others as appropriate.
- Work with procurement and/or supply chain functions to coordinate transfer of raw materials between international sites to ensure registrations are in place for the anticipated volumes.
- Manage Authorization of substances in EU and UK i.e. Strontium Chromate.
- Collaborate with TERA representative(s) on classification and labeling of products, registration and testing strategies, and other Product Stewardship related activities/projects.
- Respond to Product Stewardship requests from both internal and external customers, excluding NAFTA region.
- Active engagement with consortia for chemicals that are identified under EPA’s prioritization rule.
- Create and maintain IMDS database.
- Responsible for completing annual Syensqo SVHC volume assessments, analysis of safer alternatives, assist with fulfilling other Corporate Product Stewardship requirements such ACC Product Safety Code, PSMS, sustainability goals, etc.
- Gatekeeper for EU and UK site imports and exports.
- Provide back-up and support for the EU Poison Control center notifications and maintenance.
- Drive continuous improvement to streamline processes, improve data consistency, increase collaborative efforts amongst Composites Team Members and new Materials Cluster Product Safety Team.
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or other technical discipline
- 8+ years experience in Product Stewardship
- Understanding of thermoset and/or polymer chemistry a plus
- Knowledge of SAP a plus

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $103,000.00 to $149,000.00. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives

The Product Stewardship organization is embedded in the Corporate Industrial Function, but interacts closely with multiple functions within the Composite Materials business. The Product Steward is a regulatory expert who collaborates closely with the business to create strategies to facilitate product growth, anticipates risks from evolving regulations and manages day to day regulatory activities. This position will report directly to the Global Product Stewardship Manager.
