- Support the Global Safety Laboratory manager for ensuring top class methodologies and techniques to evaluate chemical hazards of submitted cases
- Assist the EHS CoE Global Safety lab Manager for the Safety tests results interpretation and communication.
- Provide expertise knowledge and advice on chemical process Safety to internal customers
- Follow any procedures or quality instructions relevant to the role
- Each staff member of Givaudan works according to company rules, in terms of hygiene, safety and environmental protection
- Carry out the necessary calculations for the evaluation of process safety, storage and the transportation of dangerous goods.
- Evaluate and interpret the data collected from these tests, allowing correct risk assessments to be made.
- Write the scientific reports related to these measurements including criticality class of the reaction systems and recommendations for safety process
- University degree in chemistry / chemical engineering or equivalent.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in the area of Chemical Process Safety
- Fluent in English and French, another language a plus
- Chemistry and product knowledge
- Strong technical background in the area of Chemical Process Safety, Chemical Engineering and organic chemistry
- Understanding internal/external factors affecting Givaudan and its customers and industry

Global Safety Lab Specialist (fixed-term) - Your next role?
As an Global Safety Lab Specialist you will assist the EHS CoE Global Safety lab Manager for the Safety tests results interpretation, related calculation and communication. You will provide expertise knowledge and advice on chemical process Safety to internal customers, will be the deputy of the EHS CoE Global Safety lab Manager and evaluate and interpret the data collected from tests, allowing correct risk assessments to be made.
You will be based in Vernier, Switzerland and will report directly to the EHS CoE Global Safety Lab Manager.
This role is a fixed-term for 12 months (ideally from March 2025 to March 2026).
