      The Role

      The Global Strategy Director is centrally responsible for leading the development of global media strategies for our clientsu00A0 portfolio of brands, whilst also guiding local implementation throughout the relevant Mindshare offices across the globe.

      Demonstrating an intimate understanding of how consumers interact with channels and technology, this pivotal role demands a focus on how to solve brandsu2019 global business challenges most effectively through an orchestrated system of paid, owned and earned touchpoints.

      The Global Strategy Director will also be connected into the wider Strategy & Invention team worldwide, working across a range of multinational clients and driving Good Growth through the design of unified brand experiences across markets that adapt to cultural and human differences and leverage the power of media platforms to engage with local audiences.

      Essential Criteria

      • Strong experience in designing media / communication strategies particularly in an agency environment
      • Proven track record of collaborating with and supporting clients in distilling business challenges into concise media strategic briefs
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including evidence of presentation design and delivery at a senior client level
      • Ability to process and interpret comprehensive data sets and learnings to define insight, create a compelling story whilst simplifying the complex into actionable strategic guidance and principles
      • Evidence of working across multiple stakeholders, agencies, partners, and other disciplines/capabilities to garner support for and sell in strategies and ideas
      • Keen to infuse innovative media in the thinking and to demonstrate thought leadership to elevate the work
      • Experience managing / mentoring 1-2+ people and bringing working team together to deliver on strategic product

      Desirable Criteria

      • Understanding of multi-market strategy requirements and audience differences and ability to design and deliver against is ideal but not essential
      • Curiosity and interest in staying abreast of new technologies, products and services of media owners, content owners, production agencies, research companies and suppliers that can elevate the design and delivery of media and communication strategies
      • Experience with FMCG brands is a bonus but not essential

      Responsibilities

      • Design data-driven, insight-led and digital-savvy global campaign media strategies to inspire new thinking for global and local teams whilst driving brand growth
      • Build a trusted advisor relationship with key senior clients across Global Media, Partnerships, Brand, Consumer Insights teams
      • Develop strong relationships and drive collaboration with creative agency teams, key media partners, and local Mindshare teams to drive integration of media and messaging as well as to guide local implementation
      • Collaborate with cross-capability centres of excellence, such as audience insights, data-driven marketing, search, commerce, influencer, invention, etc., to continuously elevate the solutions we bring to our client and the impact of our work
      • Bring thought leadership and inspiration for clients, identifying new opportunities to define and engage with core audiences and to showcase new media/platform offerings
