What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Partner with the Senior Director of Public Affairs on legislative and government relations initiatives and strategies
- Engage with lobbyists and stakeholders on federal, state, and local lobbying activities to advance strategic priorities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities leveraging government affairs relationships
- Provide education and support to internal stakeholders on federal and state initiatives
- Coordinate government relations strategies with internal and external partners to build alliances
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of government affairs experience
- Knowledge of healthcare management practices and clinical operations
- Proficient understanding of state and federal regulatory environments related to healthcare operations
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with lobbyists and trade organizations in the healthcare sector
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and lobbying disclosure laws
- Previous involvement in industry associations related to healthcare
