What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with the Senior Director of Public Affairs on legislative and government relations strategies
- Engage with lobbyists and stakeholders to promote the strategic priorities of the employer
- Provide education and support to internal stakeholders on relevant federal and state initiatives
- Coordinate government relations strategies with various internal and external partners
- Monitor policies and regulations impacting the employer's interests and ensure compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of experience in government affairs
- Knowledge of healthcare management practices and clinical operations
- Proficient understanding of state and federal regulatory environments related to healthcare
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with lobbyists and trade organizations in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with healthcare policies and regulations at both state and federal levels
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government officials and stakeholders
