What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Partner with the Senior Director of Public Affairs on legislative and government relations initiatives and strategies
- Engage with lobbyists and internal stakeholders on federal, state, and local lobbying activities
- Provide support and education to internal stakeholders on federal and state initiatives
- Coordinate government relations strategies with internal and external partners, including industry associations
- Maintain awareness of regulatory frameworks and lobbying disclosure laws to ensure compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with 5 - 8 years of government affairs experience
- Knowledge of healthcare management practices and clinical operations
- Proficient understanding of state and federal regulatory environments related to healthcare operations
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with trade organizations and lobbyists in a healthcare context
- Familiarity with government relations strategies and public affairs initiatives
- Proven track record of building alliances and partnerships within the healthcare sector
