What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond promptly and professionally to member, client, and provider inquiries through various communication channels
- Clearly communicate eligibility, benefit, claim status, and payment information to callers
- Identify the reasons for calls and provide appropriate resolutions to inquiries and complaints
- Assist callers with grievance and claims appeals processes as necessary
- Document call details accurately in the customer relationship management system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to work an assigned eight-hour schedule, starting as early as 7:55 a.m. and ending as late as 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business administration or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center assisting Medicare and/or Medicaid enrollees
- Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and software applications (including Windows)
- Successful completion of customer service assessments with minimum required scores
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a call center environment
- Familiarity with Medicare and/or Medicaid programs
- Strong multitasking and call logging skills
