What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide instructional tutoring to students in statistics through online platforms like Zoom and WC Online
- Communicate professionally and positively with students via email
- Contribute to Tutoring Program initiatives, including developing resources and attending team meetings
- Commit to approximately 40 hours per month to support a diverse student body
- Attend weekly peer tutor meetings led by the Instructional Specialist
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a current Walden student enrolled in a doctoral program at Walden University
- Demonstrated expertise with graduate-level statistics coursework (RSCH 8210 or equivalent)
- 3+ years of work experience utilizing statistics regularly preferred
- Strong writing and communication skills for professional correspondence with students
- Demonstrated experience with SPSS and familiarity with Office 365 suite of programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching or learning in online learning management systems
- Knowledge of additional analytical software
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to adult students
- Familiarity with statistics-specific study skills and learning strategies
