What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide instructional tutoring to students in statistics via virtual platforms
- Maintain professional communication with students through email correspondence
- Contribute to the development of statistics resources, video tutorials, and instructional documents
- Attend and complete training programs and weekly peer tutor meetings
- Commit to serving a global student body, including availability for evening and weekend tutoring sessions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a current student enrolled in a doctoral program at the employer
- Demonstrated expertise in graduate-level statistics coursework
- 3+ years of work experience utilizing statistics on a regular basis
- Strong writing skills for professional communication with students
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and adapt to various learning styles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching or learning in online learning management systems
- Familiarity with additional analytical software such as Excel
- Knowledge of statistics-specific study skills and strategies to alleviate student anxiety
