Job Description

- Under supervision of the Director of OSAS: assist the Office of Student Academic Services (OSAS) with the admissions, recruitment, advising, retention, and graduation of students in the College of Education.
- Provide academic advising services to students, including assessing their interests and abilities, examining their educational goals, developing short- and long-term goals, making decisions, and creating academic plans to meet their objectives.
- Assist in the administration of COE student support programs, workshops, activities, and other events for students.
- Coordinate work with school and community sites and teachers. Assist with the development of service learning opportunities.
- Assist with fiscal processing and maintenance of program budgets.
- Develop and manage program Excel database, document program and project activities, tabulate surveys and evaluations.
- Assist other activities supporting program implementation as developed. Assist with the administration of scholarships and stipends.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Admitted, full-time graduate student in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or above) at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa,
- Able to work 20 hours per week in an office setting,
- Experience and willingness to coordinate the areas of logistics, communication, and budgets for projects;
- Able to coordinate event activities, including those on evenings and weekends;
- Able to work independently, responsibly and collaboratively;
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, and individuals;
- Experience working in multicultural settings;
