Position Summary
Provide accounting, financial analysis and compliance support for research and sponsored program grants/contracts/ gifts. Responsibilities include daily review of expenditures for appropriateness, production of monthly and quarterly invoices including tracking and collections, processing of effort certification reports, production of accurate and timely reporting as required, reconciliation of grant accounts receivable along with revenues and expenses, research and correction of errors, problem solving, and provision of proactive financial guidance to program managers.
License/Certification/Registration required? No
Education:
* Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
Experience:
* 4+ years combined education and experience in Accounting, Finance, or Administration.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications
* Familiarity with OMB circulars and Uniform Guidance applicable to hospitals and non-profits
* Moderate spreadsheet skills and understanding of databases
* Ability to create and maintain professional working relationships
* Ability to educate and ensure understanding of processes and/or concepts
* Self starter with ability to assess priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
* Moderate budgeting/financial planning skills
* Advanced knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
* Advanced Excel skills (to include pivot tables, dsums, vlookups, and macros)
* 2+ years grant management or contract management experience
* A-133 audit experience
* Lead communicator/project manager for assigned primary program work

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
