      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide advanced technical grants accounting support, including budget creation and complex financial inquiries
      - Complete grant reports, fiscal spreadsheets, and conduct reconciliations
      - Monitor and maintain financial transactions for various grants funded by federal, state, and local sources
      - Track revenues and expenditures by funding source and process accounting adjustments
      - Collaborate with management and staff to create contract modifications and ensure compliance

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Four years of progressive accounting experience preferred, with at least two years in grant accounting
      - Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting applications
      - Ability to analyze complex problems and prepare written reports
      - Experience working with diverse communities and understanding of social service programs
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Previous experience working with community-based nonprofits and public entities
      - Knowledge of federal and state grant regulations, including HIPAA and OMB circulars
      - Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
      - Familiarity with local government operations and BARS (Budgeting, Accounting and Reporting System)
