What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Negotiate contracts and agreements that provide funding and support for university research, education, and outreach
- Independently resolve disputed contractual terms to achieve mutually acceptable conclusions
- Identify risks and liabilities while ensuring compliance with university policies and sponsor guidelines
- Serve as a liaison between departments, companies, and governmental agencies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of experience processing proposals and/or awards with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, or companies
- Knowledge of federal and state guidelines for grant and contract administration
- Experience composing and negotiating contract terms and conditions
- Proficiency in personal computers and basic software packages, including word processing and spreadsheets
