      Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Grants Management Specialist. Make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment.

      Duty Location: The final determination of the duty station for this position will be made by the selecting official at the time of the job offer. Flexibilities to work remotely in a virtual posture may be considered.

      Duties


      Serves as a Grants Management Analyst, providing technical and policy review of Federal financial assistance work (grants and cooperative agreements) performed by team members and other employees throughout the Region.


      Requirements


      You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
      You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.

      Qualifications


      In order to be rated as qualified for this position, the HR Office must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - this information must be clearly supported in the resume.

      To qualify at the GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-11 level in federal service.

      Examples of specialized experience include:
      1. Interpreting and applying financial assistance principles, policies, regulations, and procedures to conduct reviews of a full range of financial assistance agreements (both grants and cooperative agreements), notice of intents, and modifications resulting from a change in the scope of work and/or budget. -AND-
      2. Drafting or assisting in drafting policy and procedures, preparing correspondence for upper management, preparing comprehensive reports, and preparing written evaluations and interpretations of new laws, policies and requirements that impact the acquisition and program communities.
      There is no education substitution at this grade level.

      Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
