      POSITION OVERVIEW: (non-exempt)

      The Graphic Design & Marketing Intern will assist in developing engaging and brand-consistent visual and written content that supports JCHC’s internal and external communications. This position is ideal for a student or early professional interested in gaining real-world experience in healthcare marketing, design, and communications. The intern will work 12-20 hours per week on a flexible schedule, with the option to work remotely, while some on-site work may be required for specific projects or events.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
      • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); video editing skills a plus
      • Strong visual design sense and attention to detail
      • Excellent communication and organizational skills
      • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and balance multiple projects

      ACCOUNTABILITY:

      Reports to Marketing and Community Relations Manager

      DIRECT REPORTS:

      None

      POSITION-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

      • Assist in creating marketing and communication materials, including flyers, posters, social media graphics, digital ads, and presentations.
      • Support brand campaigns through design and storytelling.
      • Collaborate on social media content planning, including graphics, captions, and short videos.
      • Help maintain consistency with JCHC brand guidelines across all channels and projects.
      • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, staff recognition, and community engagement initiatives.
      • Assist with website and intranet content updates as needed.
      • Provide general support for marketing projects, events, and communications, including occasional on-site photography, videography, or event setup.

      WORK ENVIRONMENT :

      • Works in a well-illuminated, climate-controlled environment
      • May come in contact with hazardous chemical or treatment modalities
      • Possibility exists of exposure to communicable diseases
      • Involvement in inpatient care may result in unavoidable work-related illness or injury
      • Work environment is comfortable, with minimal exposure to physical hazards
      • Moderate to loud noise environment when machines/equipment in use
      • Involvement in checking in/moving of supplies may result in unavoidable work-related injury
      • Must be constantly alert for patient/family emergency situations
