In this role, you'll:
Support, and when required lead, the design and updating of a range of Wayfinding and customer information products, including signage, maps, timetable posters, information posters, instruction panels, digital information displays, infographics, documents and reports and similar design projects.
Be a custodian of the TfNSW wayfinding system to ensure a consistent and unique look and feel for TfNSW’s wayfinding system across the state.
When required, be responsible for analysing research data, compiling reports, making recommendations, and obtaining approvals for Wayfinding production processes to ensure consistent and high-quality results.
Conduct briefings with both internal and external designers regarding Wayfinding projects, applications, system requirements, graphic standards, and technical specifications.
Manage libraries of graphic assets across multiple Wayfinding products. Additionally, you will receive and respond to client briefs, create concept designs, propose design alternatives, and produce artwork as required, aligning with project requirements.
Deliver design outcomes that are accessible, in accordance with Transport’s policy on accessibility, including WCAG 2.0.

About you
•Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software with hands-on expertise in graphic design, map design and implementation, environmental graphic design, wayfinding, or a related design field.
•You should also possess relevant industry experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
•Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to handle pressure with resilience are essential.
•You should also have a track record of effectively communicating with stakeholders during design-related conflicts.
•Previous experience in wayfinding, environmental graphics, map design, functional design, or a similar design discipline is highly regarded.
