Job Description
- Req#: 46
- Extract stand alone clips from long form content (youtube videos and coaching calls)
- Review engagement metrics to understand what’s working and what’s not, then iterate.
- Stay on top of trends on the various platforms (YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)
- Create cover photos for reels
- Take existing client testimonial footage and creatively edit it into attention-grabbing reels that build social proof and drive conversions.
- Brainstorm and strategize innovative ideas for reels that align with our brand and mission.
- Add onscreen text elements that guide the viewer and make consuming the video easier (ie. video on 5 steps to more clients - you’d have a text “intro” slide for each step)
- Your role isn't just to edit; it's to elevate. You're not just cutting and splicing; you're storytelling, engaging, and converting.
- You create video clips that are on brand and consistent with our look and feel.
- You have a quick turnaround, appropriate to the task size
- You are able to identify segments from longer videos that are suitable to stand alone.
- You pay attention to the details so there are little to no revisions needed (once a good rhythm has been established).
- You are responsive and are able to communicate how long something will take and if/when you need more time or you’re overloaded with work.
- You can select background music that matches the tone of the video and to create the desired emotion in the viewer. (you will have access to our envato music account).
- Several years experience in video editing (and graphic design is a bonus).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important in order to work well with team members and clients
- Detail oriented, a “hawk-like” ability to spot errors, typos, and other details
- Enjoy running a similar process over and over and happy to take on new tasks.
- Can deal with pressure and works well under tight deadlines
- Very well organized.
- Secret Code: 2026
- An analytical mindset. Able to use metrics to measure performance and optimize future reels.
- Deep understanding of short form content – hooks, storytelling, pacing, and strategy
- Proven success on short form content as the editor for growing accounts
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change
- Working knowledge of Slack, Dropbox, Asana, and Google Drive.
- Very good understanding of how to create a desired emotion using background music.
ROLE
As a video editor, your primary role will be to help us leverage and repurpose a lot of our existing video content (ie. group video calls, speaking from stage) and edit new videos from their raw files to be used on social media platforms (primarily short form IG and FB, some long form YT).
Brand guidelines and examples whenever possible will be provided to help stay consistent with our existing look and feel. So, in some cases, you will be given a template or previous example to work from and emulate.
However, we expect you to have a strong creative eye and so you can create “magic” with little guidance where needed - such as creating a video trailer from scratch.
Thus, having a VERY strong visual eye and being able to create something beautiful from your imagination is very important for this role.

REQUIREMENTS
OUR TEAM:
We are a virtual team with more than a dozen team members from coast to coast within the USA and as far as the Dominican Republic and the Philippines. Our founder and CEO, Yuri Elkaim, is located in Toronto, Canada. Our team members are all driven by their shared desire for impact, excellence, and continuous growth.
OUR CULTURE:
We don’t have ping pong tables, funky sofas, or even a physical office. Since our team is virtual, it’s about how we show up day after day, how we behave and treat one another in and outside of work. It’s about being a self-starter who does what’s needed to get done and who is held accountable to specifically defined targets without having a manager breathing over your shoulder.
It’s about our shared values and how we communicate those values to each other and our clients. Regular two-way feedback, collaboration, and transparency within our team and our clients isn’t something we thought would sound good. It’s what we BELIEVE in and what we PRACTICE.
Strong culture inside the business equates to strong culture outside the business (with our clients) which is probably why we have grown so quickly
We live and breathe the following 3 core values:
Speed is King
Getting things done quickly is more important than doing them perfectly but never at the expense of quality.
Owner-Like Commitment
We are dedicated to doing great work and going above and beyond because the business' success (and that of our clients) is our success.
Driven to Grow
We are voracious learners and we love a good challenge because it brings out our innate desire to grow and become our best.
