      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Certify verification bodies and individual third-party verifiers for Washington's Cap-and-Invest Program
      - Train and provide technical assistance to prospective third-party verifiers for certification
      - Track and monitor reports from third-party verifiers to ensure quality and compliance
      - Develop and maintain accurate lists of approved third-party verifiers and certification requirements
      - Serve as a subject matter expert on third-party verifiers in relation to other jurisdictions and best practices

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Nine years of experience in land use, urban, regional, environmental, or natural resource planning, or closely related fields
      - Experience with administering programs that involve collecting, reporting, or reviewing environmental or regulatory information
      - Proficiency in collecting, reviewing, and analyzing program or regulatory data for accuracy
      - Ability to write or update policies and procedures and provide training on them
      - Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Working knowledge of greenhouse gas reporting and verification
      - Familiarity with emission reporting and tracking systems and protocols
      - Experience with carbon trading programs and cap-and-invest programs
