What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect, review, and manage political violence and protest data in Haiti
- Code events accurately to provide comprehensive coverage
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
- Participate in extensive ACLED training exercises
- Work with conflict-related media and violent event reports
What is Required (Qualifications):
- University degree in conflict studies, peacebuilding, international development, or related field
- Familiarity with Excel
- Fluency in English, French, and Haitian Creole
- Experience in desk-based research and working to deadlines
- Attention to detail and ability to receive feedback
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Research focus or professional experience in political, social, or protest movements in Haiti
- Skills in producing quantitative and qualitative analytical pieces and data visualization
