What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts to drive profitable growth
- Apply underwriting concepts, including risk selection and exposure identification, to provide insurance solutions
- Manage assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, and retention goals
- Develop and maintain agency relationships to secure new and renewal business
- Collaborate with other business units to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Generally, 3-7+ years of Specialty or standard commercial lines experience
- 3-4+ years’ experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external business partners
- Ability to exercise judgment and make sound business decisions based on level of authority

- Demonstrated ability to consult on underwriting matters with confidence
- Proven track record of problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Familiarity with market factors affecting pricing and underwriting decisions
