What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts to drive profitable growth
- Apply underwriting concepts, risk selection, and exposure identification to provide insurance solutions
- Manage assigned portfolio to achieve profitability, retention, and new business goals
- Build and maintain relationships with agents and customers to enhance sales and retention
- Prepare and analyze underwriting decisions, rate requirements, and company appetite within the assigned territory
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Generally, 3-7+ years of Specialty or standard commercial lines experience
- 3-4+ years of experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of business partners
- Proven judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to negotiate and make sound business decisions

- Familiarity with market trends and state/territory regulations that impact pricing and underwriting
