What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts to drive profitable growth
- Apply technical, sales, and analytical skills to provide insurance solutions and manage risk
- Manage assigned portfolio to achieve financial goals, including gross written premium and profitability
- Develop and maintain agency relationships to enhance business strategies and close accounts
- Utilize underwriting tools and guidelines to ensure compliance and effective risk assessment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Generally, 3-7+ years of experience in Specialty or standard commercial lines
- 3-4+ years of experience in driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external partners
- Ability to exercise judgment and make sound business decisions based on authority level
