What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, solicit, underwrite, and sell new and renewal Specialty accounts to drive profitable growth
- Manage assigned portfolio to achieve premium, profitability, rate, retention, and product mix goals
- Utilize underwriting tools and strategies to ensure guidelines are followed and provide insurance solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with agents and customers to enhance trust and negotiation outcomes
- Prepare and analyze information on underwriting decisions to drive results within the assigned territory
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Generally, 3-7+ years of Specialty or standard commercial lines experience
- 3-4+ years of experience driving agency relationships resulting in profitable new and renewal business
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with external and internal partners
- Ability to exercise judgment and make sound business decisions based on level of authority
