      In this exciting opportunity, based in Sydney, you will lead the design and evolution of the Global Shared Service function. This requires you to ensure a service offering that is highly efficient and supported by strong controls and governance, at both ends of the process chain, whilst delivering against Sims expected customer and vendor experience.

      Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

      • Building upon existing efforts around regional shared service models and transforming into a new global vision

      • Remove obstacles and enable the business to safely get on with business while lowering the overall cost of delivery

      • Standardise policies, procedures, and practices whilst empowering decision making within agreed guard rails

      • Deliver improved governance, ensuring fit for purpose controls and authority is in place to protect the organisation, including business continuity planning

      • Ensuring effectiveness of day-to-day operations using a continuous improvement and curious mindset to learn from best practice and key issues.

      To be successful, you will have:

      • Proven experience in senior leadership role within finance or shared services

      • Suitable degree qualified, demonstrating application to the role

      • Solid understanding of data analysis and business workflows. Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities

      • A strong strategic and business mindset within global operations

      • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

      • A focus on delivery and results, relating to planning and executing agreed-upon strategies,

      • Relationship, collaboration, and communication skills.
