- Leading the Human Safety team's delivery of safety assessments and regulatory submissions to support business objectives in region Europe.
- Partnering with Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs leaders to ensure the provision of appropriate science plans to meet regulatory requirements in Europe, delivered to time and cost and aligned with robust governance requirements.
- Leading talent development and succession planning across the platform
- Implementing the development for emerging safety science areas
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, cross-industry groups and academic partners
- Advanced degree in toxicology or related scientific discipline
- Extensive experience in human safety assessment
- Deep understanding of European regulatory requirements (EFSA, ECHA, EC)
- Proven leadership experience managing large technical teams
- Demonstrated abilities in strategic thinking and problem solving
- Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
- Ability to utilise and deploy digital skills would be an advantage

Job Description
Are you ready to shape the future of crop protection safety across Europe? Syngenta Crop Protection is seeking an exceptional leader to head our Human Safety Platform, driving scientific excellence and regulatory compliance in our Product Safety Team.
You will lead a team of 35 specialists across Europe, providing expert guidance in toxicology, risk assessment, and human safety for our crop protection portfolio. You'll collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and implement science-based strategies that ensure our products meet the highest safety standards while supporting business growth. Jealott's Hill International Research Centre UK is situated in pleasant semi-rural surroundings between Bracknell and Maidenhead and is the place of work for approximately 800 Syngenta scientists and support staff.
