      Hammond School seeks a dynamic and energetic individual committed to coaching middle and upper school students in swimming. This part-time position in the Athletic Department is responsible for leading the Hammond Swim Program. The Athletic Department oversees developmentally appropriate physical activities for the School's younger students, organizes interscholastic sports for 6th - 12th grades, and takes part in the School's statewide individual and team sports competition through the South Carolina Independent Schools Association (SCISA). Through competition, the School and its athletes strive to develop the intellectual, physical, social, and moral strength of each student-athlete.


      The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the sport of swimming and the ability to instruct a variety of skill levels in the School's swimming program.


      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):


      • Managing meet entry software using Meet Manager for Swimming
      • Communication and organization for practices, meets, and other team matters
      • Commitment to excellence in all aspects
      • Positioning the School's athletes to compete at the highest level in the meets
      • Available to work 10-15 hours per week

      Reporting: The Head Swim Coach reports to the Athletic Director.
