      Overview

      BerryDunn is seeking an experienced Health and Human Services (HHS) Leader to join our State Government Practice Group. This role will focus on providing expert guidance and professional consulting services to state and territory government HHS agencies. The HHS Leader will lead performance of organizational and operational assessments, help clients define and execute their vision through the development of roadmaps and programmatic and technology strategies, lead Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) teams, lead IT system planning and procurement projects on behalf of clients, and perform other related HHS program and technology projects. The individual in this role will be a dynamic leader who enjoys developing individuals and teams, and they will also play a key role in developing the business plan for the HHS Practice forward and driving growth.

      Travel expectations: Up to 50% travel to client sites nationwide, with potential work in the US territories.

      You Will

      • Support BerryDunn services for clients in state-based HHS disciplines; primarily offering information technology and management consulting type services (e.g., system planning, business process improvement, procurement support, project management, IV&V, etc.)
      • Lead and support delivery of services to clients on time and within budget, including assigning and managing staff and creating work products
      • Coordinate task assignments based upon management to a project plan
      • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and a credible source of guidance and information
      • Report on project status (written and verbal) including risks and issues to audiences including executive leadership
      • Facilitate meetings and interviews with client interested parties
      • Navigate and document decision making processes on behalf of our clients within established governance structures of government agencies
      • Participate in staff/team meetings and training and work effectively as a team player on multiple client projects
      • Develop and implement growth strategies for the HHS Practice and have an interest in assuming greater responsibility for the Practice over time
      • Proactively engage in business development and opportunity management activities, in collaboration with the HHS Principals and other Practice Leads
      • Coach and mentor other HHS team members, and enthusiastically invest in the development of individuals and teams

      You Have

      • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
      • Minimum of 8 years of experience in management and/or IT consulting
      • Proven experience leading teams performing management and/or IT consulting, with a minimum of 2-3 years focused on the government sector
      • Proven track record supporting or leading enterprise-level software implementations, preferably from both the consulting/system integrator and solution vendor perspectives
      • Strong knowledge of IV&V services
      • Ability to develop clear, compelling technical artifacts and present to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
      • Strong understanding of project lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and systems engineering principles
      • Experience working directly with solution vendors, providing guidance on requirements, integration, testing, and deployment
      • Understanding of APIs, data migration strategies, and interoperability between platforms
      • Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
      • Experience working with or advising state government agencies
      • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% and work in multiple time zones

      Compensation Details

      The base salary range targeted for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications more than the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
