      Capita is looking for a HSE Manager to cover our UK sites.

      As a CE HSE Manager you will be accountable for all Health, Safety, Wellbeing, and Environmental (HSE) related activities within your respective Business Unit.

      Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team to raise awareness of HSE, providing consultative advice and risk mitigation guidance where needed, ensuring that all sites and field workers within your Business Unit are compliant with all HSE requirements.

      This is a full time, permanent role with a flexible working location (requirement to work across all Capita locations).

      Job Description:

      Core Responsibilities:

      • You will take primary lead in all things related to HSE supporting our growth teams in all bid activity where HSE is a requirement.
      • Ensure appropriate reporting and investigation of all Tier 2, and 3 events. Supporting Head of HSE in Tier 1 incidents.
      • Communicate the HSE Policy, HSE Standard and HSE Management System to the appropriate levels within your Business Unit, ensuring all positions are aware of their responsibilities for all HSE requirements.
      • Undertake site assurance audits and raise corrective actions, tracking to completion, to ensure implementation and sustainment against the company HSE Management System.
      • Prepare and disseminate appropriate HSE reports for the HSE Sector Lead, your Business Unit Senior Leadership Team, line managers and employees.
      • Track and monitor HSE KPI’s, providing updates to the Head of UK HSE maintain ownership of DRAC HSE Risk Card, implementing improvement plans as necessary and disseminate to your business unit.
      • Stay ahead of new and emerging changes to legislation and UK HSE Law – providing advise and recommendations to protect Capita’s, our clients and our colleagues whilst ensuring we remain compliant.

      What you’ll need to bring:

      • Minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is Essential.
      • Desirable NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, IEMA Environmental Certificate.
      • Auditing of HSE Systems and processes, preferably Lead Auditor trained.
      • Knowledge of BSI 45001 & 14001.
      • Accident Investigation Training.
