What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support the implementation of processes and programs to enhance food safety, quality, and health
- Assist in resolving store-level health and safety risks
- Liaise with safety inspectors to ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide guidance on pest control, sanitation, and other food safety programs
- Conduct health and safety training and audits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Occupational Safety, or related discipline OR 2-5 years of experience in a health and safety role in retail, grocery, QSR, or restaurant industries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Loaf ‘N Jug was founded by Sam Sharp and Paul Jones in 1973. The first convenience store was established in Fowler, Colorado. Loaf ‘N Jug quickly grew to 52 locations, and was purchased by Kroger in 1986. The main headquarters was established in Pueblo, Colorado. The stores became a staple in middle America, expanding into other states such as Wyoming, New Mexico, Montana, Nebraska, and the Dakotas. In 2018, all 152 Loaf ‘N Jug convenience stores were purchased by EG Group.
