- Performs health communication tasks, including but not limited to researching, writing, and editing communication materials.
- Develop a communications framework to guide storytelling efforts about the program.
- Craft and refine key messages that highlight program milestones, impact, and contributions.
- Edit and produce audio content, including short clips and sound bites, to create a communications asset library.
- Collaborate with program teams to identify compelling success stories and gather supporting content.
- Ensure consistency in voice, branding, and messaging across internal platforms.
- Prior/recent experience with CDC preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- 5-7 years of related experience
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
- Proven storytelling and editing skills
- Proficiency in audio editing tools
Overview
The Division of Violence Prevention's Communications Team is seeking support to highlight the impact of violence prevention programs. This short-term, quick-start project will focus on assessing current multimedia assets; creating a communications framework/matrix that captures key achievements, outcomes, and impacts of DVP programs; creating story outlines; recording new interviews or narration as needed; and editing the content into clear, engaging, and accessible stories.
