What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Utilize analytical and workflow analysis techniques to evaluate health information technology solutions
- Extract and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of programs and business processes
- Present program status and performance metrics to facilitate decision-making
- Make recommendations for improving business processes based on data-driven insights
- Analyze Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical workflows to enhance patient care quality
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Informatics, Biomedical Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in program analysis, data analysis, or informatics, preferably in a Veterans Administration healthcare setting
- Proficient in creating clinical workflow mapping and familiar with BPMN+ notation
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills for conveying program status and recommendations to stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degree in a clinical field (PA-C, FNP, etc.)
- Informatics Certification (NI-BC, CPHIMS)
- Master’s Degree in Informatics or Bioinformatics
- Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner), PharmNet, and PowerPlans
- Direct experience working within the Department of Veterans Affairs
