What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive and process requests for patient health information in accordance with company and facility policies
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all privileged information
- Manage patient health records and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards
- Prepare new patient charts and create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records
- Assist with administrative duties such as answering calls, handling faxes, and data entry
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of health information-related experience
- Must be 18 years or older
- Basic computer proficiency and comfortable using office equipment
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- Previous production or metric-based work experience
- In-person customer service experience
- Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers
- Comfortable providing process improvement suggestions and feedback
