- Health Unit Coordinator program certificate is preferred
- Previous clerical experience in a medical related field is preferred
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to deal tactfully with people
- Good organizational skills
- Microsoft Office computer skills preferred
- Ability to use personal computer, printers, telephone, fax, and copy machines
- BLS certification (within 90 days of hire)
- Maintains unit resources and supplies.
- Utilizes EHR for patient verification, scheduling, admissions/transfers/discharges, completing forms and documentation, checking patients in and out of their appointments, managing in basket messages, and managing incoming charts/records within the department.
- Coordinates department activities.
- Extensive computer work.
- Communicates with all levels of staff.
- Receptionist duties.
- Phone communications.
- Protects the confidentiality of patient information.
- Makes patient follow-up appointments.
- Registers new patients in OMC system.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Prepares provider schedules.
- Coordinates with clinician scheduling team to keep clinician schedules up to date.
- Coordinates clinician schedules with the nursing homes.
- Assists with managing PTO requests and staff assignments.
- Attends education and training as required.
- Calls and schedules referrals to specialty care services.
- Orders supplies.
- Maintains PPE count.
- Schedules PPT amongst nursing homes as needed
1.0 FTE - Day Shifts
Starting wage - $19.59 - $24.49 (Based on Experience)
