What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer patient calls regarding Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and research account balances
- Manage patient refunds and process patient payments
- Provide thorough communication with patients regarding medical billing and reimbursement
- Demonstrate extensive attention to detail and organization while managing multiple tasks
- Deliver a positive customer service experience to clients, guests, and patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one year of experience in medical billing and collections
- Current knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement for commercial insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare
- Thorough understanding of EOBs and effective communication skills, both by phone and in writing
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Self-motivated and a team player
