      We are looking for a dedicated, customer service-oriented Helpdesk Support Technician Intern to work in our corporate headquarters in the city of Carson. In this position, the role is to ensure to maintain and administer computer workstations, mobile devices, network, and telephone infrastructure operations in addition to the helpdesk support role.

      This opportunity is a paid part-time internship.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Carries out daily help desk responsibilities by responding to requests submitted via phone, walk-ins, email and/or the ServiceDesk portal.
      • Respond to internal (60%) and external (40%) help desk requests and become a resource for resolving technical issues.
      • Responsible for maintaining and administering PC’s and telecommunication equipment.
      • Perform installation, testing and maintenance of hardware and software.
      • Help maintains inventory of all related software and hardware.
      • Troubleshooting and resolve of all server software/hardware related complaints.
      • Troubleshoot network connectivity problems locally and remotely.
      • Works effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, words and deeds.
      • Rotational weekend support.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Education and/or Experience:

      • College degree preferred, however, work experience is equally important.
      • Any Microsoft, Cisco or industry certifications is a plus!

      Other Skills and Abilities:

      • Excellent oral/written communication skills
      • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with wide range of people, including senior management, client staff and others
      • Excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills
      • Extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and service orientation necessary
      • Must be able to learn and understand business processes quickly
      • Ability to multi-task and work independently
      • Ability to meet deadlines and execute delivery of projects
      • Willing to work overtime as necessary, as well as rotational weekend support
      • Ability to occasionally travel by car and plane for business purposes
