      Job summary

      This post holder will provide a highly specialist service within CAMHS to young people and their families. This is a community-based post, located within the Westminster CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team, offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessment and treatment. The role will involve clinical leadership, particularly of the ADHD assessment and treatment pathway and will include clinical delivery on an expert level.

      They will provide clinical expertise in the field of Neurodiversity and be experienced in assessment, differential and comorbid diagnosis including experience in the administration of relevant standardised ADHD assessment.

      The post holder will support the team by managing a delegated caseload of service users that have an established diagnosis and treatment plan for Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).

      The post holder will provide review appointments, prescribe medication as necessary and undertake all associated physical and mental health monitoring.

      The post holder will have completed a recognised qualification in non-medical prescribing. The post holder will work with the Clinical Team Lead to ensure operational services are effective and will provide frontline leadership to the staff within the ADHD service.

      This will include professional and practice development and ensuring high quality client-centred care is delivered.

      Main duties of the job

      o To provide a highly specialised practitioner and non-medical prescribing service within CAMHS to children, young people with ADHD and leadership of the ADHD team.

      o Provide comprehensive specialist CAMHS neurodevelopmental assessments of children and young people with suspected ADHD.

      o To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children and young people whose problems are managed by psychologically based standard care plans.

      o Provide specialist advice guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to children and young people' formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.

      o To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual children and young people and to provide advice to other professions on risk assessment and risk management.

      o As a non-medical nurse prescriber, you will be qualified and have the experience of prescribing a range of medication that is appropriate for the designated patient group including ADHD stimulant, non stimulants as well as sleep aids.

      o Provide clinical, management, and performance management through appraisals and supervision, including monitoring and supporting the nursing team with re-validation.

      o To take part in the Trust Senior Nurse On call rota providing expert advice and support to the Trust as part of a rotational basis.

      o Develop the skills in ADHD team through teaching, training and to provide supervision.
