      Job summary

      We're looking for a Highly Specialist Paediatric Audiologist to join our dedicated team and help shape the future of paediatric audiology services across our three hospital sites in Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, and Hertford.

      What You'll Do:

      • Work at a senior level within the Paediatric Audiology team
      • Travel between our three hospital sites
      • Contribute to a major service improvement initiative led by our Head of Audiology, Dawn Bramham
      • Play a key role in clinical assessments, observations, and governance
      • Support the Paediatric Service Lead in delivering high-quality, patient-focused care

      Main duties of the job

      Select, fit hearing aids where appropriate and rehabilitate routine and complex babies andchildren.

      Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and explain the results of these tests to patients, relativesand carers in an appropriate and empathetic manner, being sensitive to the complexcommunication difficulties of patients who are deaf or hard of hearing.

      Have a multi-agency approach to audiological care and understand the role of the RNID and National Deaf Children's Society and NHSP.

      Supervise/observe and assess audiologists and students as and when required and will beresponsible for appraisals of lower grade staff.

      Be professionally and clinically responsible and accountable for all aspects of their own work,updating knowledge and skills to maintain continuing professional development.

      Modify patient's ear moulds to facilitate comfort of fit and/or modify to change.

      Have specialised knowledge of paediatric audiology and be able to perform a range of routineand complex
