What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and interpret patient medical record documentation to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes accurately
- Code complex ambulatory surgery and observation visit medical records
- Enter data into the electronic health record system for billing and reporting
- Communicate with physicians regarding documentation requirements and coding accuracy
- Maintain current knowledge of coding changes, rules, and guidelines

What is Required (Qualifications):
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification with a minimum of one (1) year of full-time ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding experience
- Technically competent in electronic health record applications and automated encoders
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Must possess strong detail orientation and organizational skills
- Demonstrated coding knowledge and proficiency required through on-site skills assessment

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Pediatric coding experience highly desired
- Experience using Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Goal-oriented, flexible, and energetic disposition
